ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

(Initia Nova Academy – Stella Learning Academy Pty Ltd.)
(Effective Date: [04 December 2025])

At Initia Nova Academy, we are committed to providing an inclusive, supportive, and accessible learning environment for all students. We recognise that every learner has unique strengths, challenges, and learning styles, and we aim to make our educational services — both on-campus and online — as accessible as possible within reasonable means.

This Accessibility Statement explains our commitment to educational accessibility, digital accessibility, and our ongoing efforts to reduce barriers to learning.

⭐ 1. Our Commitment to Educational Accessibility

Initia Nova Academy strives to ensure that:

  • All students can participate meaningfully in our programmes

  • Learning materials are accessible, clear, and structured

  • Students with diverse learning needs receive reasonable support

  • Learning is self-paced and adaptable where possible

  • Our environment remains welcoming, understanding, and respectful

We recognise and support learners who experience:

  • ADHD

  • Anxiety or stress-related challenges

  • Learning differences

  • Social difficulties

  • Sensory overwhelm

  • Slow processing or working-speed challenges

While we are not a special-needs school, we take pride in offering flexible pathways and compassionate structures designed to help a wide range of students thrive.

⭐ 2. Flexible Learning Pathways

Our academic model includes:

  • Self-paced learning options

  • Guided facilitator support

  • One-on-one academic assistance

  • Structured digital learning platforms (Essential Education®, MobyMax®)

  • Reduced classroom pressure

  • Encouragement-focused teaching

  • Smaller class environments

These approaches naturally support accessibility and help learners remain confident and engaged.

⭐ 3. Reasonable Accommodations

Where possible and appropriate, the Academy may provide:

  • Extra time for internal assessments

  • Alternative submission formats

  • Adapted lesson pacing

  • Quiet workspaces

  • One-on-one clarification sessions

  • Behavioural support structures

  • Digital learning accommodations

Accommodations are considered on a case-by-case basis, in consultation with parents/guardians and aligned with the student’s documented needs.

Please note:
External GED® exam accommodations are controlled by Pearson VUE and GED Testing Service®, not Initia Nova Academy. We can support applications, but we cannot guarantee approval.

⭐ 4. Digital Accessibility (Website & Online Platforms)

We aim to ensure our website and digital tools are accessible to as many users as possible.
Our efforts include:

  • Clear fonts and readable text sizes

  • Consistent heading structure

  • High-contrast colours based on our brand palette

  • Alt text on images where applicable

  • Mobile-responsive page layouts

  • Screen-reader compatible structures (when supported by SITE123)

  • Simple navigation and intuitive menus

  • Captioning options for video-based learning materials where possible

While our website platform (SITE123) has some functional limitations, we continue striving to make information easily accessible.

If you encounter any difficulty using our website, please contact us so we can assist.

⭐ 5. Physical Accessibility & Safety

On campus, we aim to maintain:

  • Safe and supervised environments

  • Respectful peer interactions

  • Staff monitoring and behavioural guidance

  • Emergency procedures for the wellbeing of all learners

  • An anti-bullying, anti-discrimination stance

Although our premises may not accommodate all mobility-related needs (e.g., certain structural limitations), we will always work with families to explore reasonable solutions or alternative learning pathways.

⭐ 6. Inclusive Behavioural Expectations

Our Student Code of Conduct promotes:

  • dignity

  • respect

  • safety

  • cultural sensitivity

  • non-discrimination

All students are expected to uphold these values to ensure a supportive space for everyone.
(Refer to the Code of Conduct in the Application/Handbook.)

⭐ 7. Limitations of Our Accessibility Services

While striving for inclusivity, Initia Nova Academy:

  • is not a special-needs or remedial institution

  • cannot provide high-level therapeutic support

  • cannot guarantee external GED® accommodations

  • may not be able to meet complex medical or behavioural needs

  • follows reasonable limits based on staffing, resources, and safety

If we determine that a student requires support beyond our capacity, we will communicate openly and assist families in exploring appropriate alternatives.

⭐ 8. Feedback & Accessibility Concerns

We welcome input from parents, learners, and visitors.

If you:

  • experience difficulty accessing our website
